Thinker Works Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 12, 2026

Thinker Works respects the privacy of users of our websites, applications, WordPress products, and online services. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, stored, and protected when you use Thinker Works products and services.

Information We Collect

Depending on the Thinker Works product or service you use, we may collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, account information, support requests, product registration information, and service configuration.

Our software may also process technical information necessary to provide its functionality, including website URLs, software versions, server information, diagnostic information, error logs, backup information, and service connection status.

How We Use Information

Information is used to provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Thinker Works products and services; authenticate users and installations; provide customer support; process requested operations; and communicate important service or account information.

We do not sell personal information obtained through our services.

Google Drive and Google API Data

Certain Thinker Works products, including backup, restore, and migration software, may optionally connect to Google Drive.

Google Drive access occurs only after the user explicitly authorizes the connection through Google’s OAuth authorization process.

When Google Drive integration is enabled, Thinker Works software may use Google Drive API access to create, upload, access, update, list, or manage backup files created or selected through the Thinker Works software.

Thinker Works does not use Google Drive data for advertising, marketing profiles, or the sale of user information.

Thinker Works does not transfer information received from Google APIs to advertising platforms, data brokers, or other third parties for advertising purposes.

Google OAuth Credentials and Tokens

Thinker Works software may securely store OAuth access and refresh tokens when necessary to maintain a Google Drive connection authorized by the user.

OAuth tokens are used only to perform authorized Google Drive operations required by the applicable Thinker Works product.

Users are not required to provide their Google password to Thinker Works. Google authentication is performed directly through Google’s OAuth authorization system.

Limited Use of Google User Data

Thinker Works’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Google user data obtained through API authorization is used only to provide or improve user-facing functionality that is prominent in the requesting application.

Backup Data

Backup archives may contain website files, databases, configuration information, uploaded media, and other information belonging to the website being backed up.

When a user selects Google Drive or another remote storage provider as a backup destination, the backup archive is transferred to that provider at the user’s request.

The storage, retention, security, and deletion of files stored with a third-party provider are also governed by that provider’s policies and the user’s account configuration.

Data Sharing

Thinker Works does not sell Google user data or personal information.

Information may be disclosed when necessary to provide a service requested by the user, comply with applicable law, protect the security or integrity of our systems, prevent fraud or abuse, or work with service providers performing necessary functions on our behalf.

Service providers are permitted to process information only for the purposes for which it was provided and subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

Data Retention

Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the applicable service, satisfy legitimate operational requirements, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Backup files stored in a user’s own Google Drive or other third-party storage account remain subject to the user’s control and the applicable provider’s retention policies.

Data Security

Thinker Works uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No internet-connected service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Disconnecting Google Drive

Users may disconnect Google Drive through the applicable Thinker Works product when that functionality is available.

Users may also revoke Thinker Works’ Google account authorization through their Google Account security and third-party connection settings.

Revoking authorization prevents the application from making future Google API requests using the revoked authorization.

Deleting Data

Users may delete backup files stored in their Google Drive account using Google Drive.

Users may also request deletion of personal information maintained directly by Thinker Works, subject to information we are required or permitted to retain for legal, security, accounting, fraud-prevention, or other legitimate purposes.

Children’s Privacy

Thinker Works services are not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children except where a service is specifically designed for children and appropriate parental, guardian, educational, or organizational controls and applicable legal requirements are provided.

Third-Party Services

Thinker Works products may integrate with third-party services. Those services operate under their own privacy policies and terms. Users should review the policies of services they choose to connect.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our products, services, legal requirements, or privacy practices change. The current version and effective date will be published on this page.
